How do i learn how to play the guitar with no experience whatsoever?

ok so i got an ibanez electric guitar for christmas,i have an amp and stuff to play it on. but i have no idea on how to play a guitar.How should i start playing or learning.
(the style i want to play is metal and stuff like that)

your into same kinda music as me, ibanez good choice for a metal guitarist specially if its Rg series, anyway, to start learning, look around google on “how to read tablature” which is guitar music, then go to a tab site i would advise ultimate guitar . com and just search for songs you want to learn..

you might wanna start with basic chords first or small scales, check youtube for tutorials
