What color should I paint the accent wall in my living room?

I will paint my room that opens into the dining room in a light beige Shaker (Benjamin Moore Beige). I would like an accent wall in the dining room into a brown barrel, but not sure how much darker than the beige color that should be. Do you want a light brown, dark brown or chocolate accent wall?

Chocolate brown sounds good, but be careful. Usually darker colors just look beautiful, if the walls are made of gypsum, not chalk or more walls. If you have a clean straight wall without gaps and the house is in good condition, I would go with darker. If you have a problem, the lighting, the easier it will lead to more.
